COMPOSER | AUDIO DIRECTOR
PAUL DEAKIN
Paul Deakin is an award-winning Composer and Audio Director based in the United States, creating music for AAA video games, feature films, TV, and musical theatre.
Most recently, serving as in-house Lead Composer at Lightspeed LA, Paul wrote music for Last Sentinel — a major upcoming open-world AAA title. He also composed the music for the game's announce trailer (watch here on the Music & Picture page), which debuted at The Game Awards 2023.
Paul's game credits also include Days Gone, Sony PlayStation's critically acclaimed open-world survival game, where he served as Audio Director at Bend Studio. The game's music and sound design won a Webby Award and earned multiple additional nominations.
His film work spans horror, fantasy, drama, and thriller — including features BnB Hell and The Devil You Know, alongside trailers, short films, and commercials. Before turning his focus to screen and games, Paul wrote, composed, and directed a full-scale original musical — Spellbound — which ran for years in workshops with Broadway performers and premiered at an Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, earning recognition as one of the festival's must-see shows at FringeNYC.
Whether you're looking for an emotionally immersive game score, a cinematic film soundtrack, or a composer who understands how music serves story, Paul brings decades of experience across every stage of production — from concept to final mix.
